The court has ordered to summon the bank records of 07 companies which are said to have caused losses to the gove ment by selling the imported fertilizers at high prices to various factories without giving them to the farmers since 2018 under the National Fertilizer Subsidy Program.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Mr. Prasanna Alwis has issued this order after considering the facts presented to the court by the Financial Crime Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department.
