According to the police, 667 suspects were arrested in the 24 hours that ended in the mo ing of today (05) under the island-wide Yukthiya operation.

The police said that it includes 559 suspects related to drug offenses and 107 suspects who were on the list referred to criminal divisions.

191 grams of heroin, 103 grams of ice, and 02 kilograms and 300 grams of ganja were taken into police custody by the suspects.

It is reported that among the 559 arrested suspects related to drug offences, three have been referred for rehabilitation.

Also, among the 108 suspects in the list referred to the criminal divisions, there are 09 suspects who have been issued open warrants related to drug offenses and 97 open warrants related to non-drug offenses, the police said.
