10 million imported eggs to the market

Steps have been taken to release 10 million imported eggs to the market from today (18).
The Sri Lanka State Trading (General) Corporation stated that the relevant stock of eggs with the approval of the Department of Animal Production and Health is to be distributed to Lanka Sathosa Institute from today.
Accordingly, people will be able to buy eggs during the festive season through the Sathosa network of stores without any shortage.
In the meantime, another 15 million imported eggs are to be brought to Sri Lanka and steps will be taken to send those stocks for quality inspection as soon as possible.
