A revelation from Ali Sabry on Foreign Service

Foreign Minister Mr. Ali Sabry says that due to the lack of officers for the foreign service, there has been an impact on its activities.
Speaking in Parliament, he said that there are 164 officers working in 55 countries and 24 sectors in this country.
The Minister said that only 6 people are employed in India, which is the most important country for Sri Lanka.
It was also revealed that the number of employees required for the Sri Lanka Foreign Service is 264.
The minister said that the necessary steps are being taken to recruit the necessary officers and the last recruitment for the foreign service was done in 2018.
