Artifacts taken from the SL returned from the Netherlands

06 Artifacts, including the wedding sword and the cannon of the Chief of Lewke, which were stolen from the Kandy royal palace by the invading Dutch in 1756, have been brought back to the island from the Netherlands today (29).
Among these Artifacts are the wedding sword of King Kirti Sri Rajasingha, the silver chestnut belonging to the king, the golden knife of the king, the cannon of the chief of Lewke and two other big guns.
There are many artifacts belonging to this country that were stolen by the Dutch in the Netherlands and those Artifacts are scheduled to be brought to this country in parts in the near future.
Apart from this, there is a large stock of Artifacts stolen from this country in about twenty other foreign countries, including England, and these items are also to be brought to the island in the future.
