Another loan from the Asian Development Bank

The Cabinet has approved the Asian Development Bank to provide funds for the completion of the joint road proposal program.
It is stated that some road development projects under the road investment program implemented on Asian Development Bank loan funds have been suspended due to non-availability of funds.
In this regard, the Ministry of Finance has held discussions with the Asian Development Bank and accordingly, the bank has agreed to provide a loan amount of 60 million US dollars for the work to be completed immediately under the relevant project.
Accordingly, the proposal presented by President Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Minister of Finance to enter into the relevant loan agreement has been approved.
