Support of Divisional Secretaries to the Aswesuma

The Association of Regional Secretaries has expressed its agreement to support the continuation of the Aswasuma welfare program.
Chairman of the Welfare Benefits Board, Mr. Jayantha Wijeratne stated that such an agreement was reached during a discussion held at the President's Office.
It has also been agreed to appoint a specific officer at the village level to carry forward this program formally.
The President's Media Division said that attention was also paid to the quick resolution of technical problems in the Aswasuma welfare program.
It is stated that the payment of welfare benefits is done under 04 social categories namely transitional, vulnerable, poor and extremely poor.
