125 people warned by CCTV operation

Yesterday (22) the roads around Colombo were monitored by CCTV, where wa ings were given regarding 125 traffic offences.
The pilot project to monitor traffic violations through CCTV cameras and send fines to the vehicle owners started yesterday.
According to the police headquarters, 125 traffic violations observed by CCTV around Colombo were identified and wa ings were issued to the owners of those vehicles as a preliminary step.
Among the errors identified here, mainly the errors of changing lanes and driving without stopping at the stop line have been observed.
