CEB does not have bonuses, salary increments or incentives

It has been decided not to pay bonuses or other allowances to Ceylon Electricity Board employees for this year.
It is reported that the minister in charge of the subject Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera has given relevant instructions.
The Ceylon Electricity Board stated that the minister has also given further instructions not to implement the 25% salary increase which is done every three years.
Also, the Minister has requested the chairman of the Electricity Board to provide information on the various incentives and allowances paid to the CEB officials and the amount of money paid as rent and the vehicles hired by the officials.
