Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, revealed that when the officials of the Sri Lanka Cricket Institute were called to the COPE Committee, the son of the COPE Committee Chairman, Member of Parliament, Mr. Ranjith Bandara, had also participated.

That, today (16) while giving comments in the Parliament.

The opposition leader also mentioned that his mouth was closed in the COPE committee and questioned how Ranjith Bandara's son participated in the COPE committee in such a background.

The Speaker, Mr. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, who replied to that, said that he was not aware of such a thing and that he would conduct an investigation into the matter and inform the Parliament about it.

He also said that an outsider cannot join the COPE committee.
