The Inte ational Monetary Fund says that the agreement reached between Sri Lanka and the Chinese Exim Bank is a good step forward for the restructuring of Sri Lanka's exte al debt.

The IMF is ready for the first review once it receives financial guarantees from all official creditors, said its senior mission chief, Peter Brewer.
