China Exim Bank and Sri Lanka have reached an agreement regarding debt restructuring, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement.

It states that relevant agreement has been reached regarding the main policies and main conditions for restructuring the debt.

The Ministry of Finance said that the loan to be paid to the bank under the relevant agreement covers about 4.2 billion dollars.

The Ministry of Finance says that this will help Sri Lanka's long-term debt sustainability and restore the economy.
