Mr. Piyal Nishantha de Silva, Minister of State for Fisheries, states that a new program called 'Dheevara Suva Saviya' will be started in order to improve the health and welfare of the fishermen in this country.

The State Minister says that the first phase of this program will be started on the 26th of this month at the Wellamankaraya Fishery Port in Wennappuwa.

The Minister of State for Fisheries Mr. Piyal Nishantha de Silva expressed these views while attending the news conference held at the Presidential Media Center yesterday (24).
