Fees for issuance of national identity cards will be revised

The gove ment has taken steps to revise the fee charged for issuing a national identity card.
It is reported that the relevant gazette notice has been issued by the Ministry of Public Security.
The relevant gazette notification states that the fee for a certified copy of a national identity card should be 1,000 rupees.
In addition, the fee for verifying the authenticity of the details of National Identity Cards shall be Rs. 25 in case of submission through online mode and Rs. 500 in case of submission through physical documents or electronic mode acceptable to the Commissioner General.
In addition, the Ministry of Public Security says that the fee for registration as a National ID card photographer should be 15,000 rupees.
Previously, the fee was 10,000 rupees.
Steps have also been taken to increase the annual fee of 2,000 rupees to 3,000 rupees for the renewal of the registration certificate.
