GMOA is gearing up for professional action again

The Association of Gove ment Medical Officers says that if the implementation of the proposals and ideas presented to resolve the crises that have arisen in the health sector is further delayed, it will enter into a strict professional action from January 1st.

The association points out that a final decision will be taken in the Central Committee of the Gove ment Medical Officers' Association, which will be held on December 27.

Since the beginning of 2022, the country has lost more than 1,700 doctors, including specialists, and more than 5,000 doctors are at risk of leaving the country soon, according to the Gove ment Medical Officers Association.

The association further states that due to the shortage of doctors, nearly 20 small hospitals have been completely closed and more than 400 hospitals and specialist medical units are at risk of being crippled.
