Gazettes the needs of duty-free businesses in the port city

The requirements to be met in order to carry out duty free retail trade or duty free shopping mall operations in Colombo Port City have been gazetted.
Accordingly, an investor must invest at least US$ 05 million to run a duty-free retail business.
It is also stated that the promoter should have global experience in duty free trade operations.
It is further stated in the Gazette notice that in order to run a duty-free shopping mall business, a promoter must make a minimum investment of 07 million US dollars.
