Highest export earnings this year in August

The highest monthly export revenue recorded so far this year was recorded in August.
Accordingly, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka stated that the export income is 1,119 million US dollars.
However, it is said that the figure is a decrease of 8.7% compared to the export income ea ed in August last year.
Due to the continuous decrease in foreign demand, the decrease in the export income of industrial goods, including garments, has led to a decrease in export income.
Also, during the period from January to August 2023, the country's export income has been reported as 8,010 million US dollars.
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka stated that it is a decrease of 10.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
