The Inte ational Monetary Fund says that Sri Lanka expects a budget with a strong and minimal budget gap.

It is said that Peter Breuer, the head of the Inte ational Monetary Fund delegation for Sri Lanka, has stated this.

He points out that Sri Lanka is currently looking for a suitable method to cover the gap between the gove ment's income and expenditure and due to the record decrease in foreign exchange reserves and other factors, Sri Lanka faced the worst economic crisis in its history last year.
