A five-member committee to investigate the Kandakadu incident

A five-member committee has been appointed to investigate the incident related to the escape of a group of inmates of the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Center.

That is to investigate the incident and give the necessary recommendations.

The five-person investigation committee has been appointed by the Minister of Judicial Prisons and Constitutional Reforms, President's Atto ey Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe.

Supreme Court Judge Hector Yapa has been appointed as its chairman.

The minister has instructed the five-member committee to submit the report containing the investigation and recommendation regarding the incident within 03 weeks.
