State Minister for Home Affairs Mr. Ashoka Priyantha said that the recruitment has been done based on the results of the competitive examination for recruitment to the management services post held in 2021.

The Minister of State said this while answering a question asked by MP Sanjeeva Edimanna in Parliament today (04).

According to the results of the examination, a total of 1,384 officers have been recruited as 660 officers in the first stage, 276 officers in the second stage and 448 officers in the third stage.

Mr. Ashoka Priyantha, who said that all the recruitments have been done in the year 2023, said that the biggest problem that has arisen so far is the placement of the officers.

The state minister said that a committee has been appointed to look into the process of placement of officials and said that he will meet the ministry officials today to discuss the matter and provide a solution.
