Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Mathews has been named among the players grouped under the highest initial bid in the Indian Premier League player auction.

It is reported that Sri Lankan all-rounder Angelo Mathews is included in the Indian Rupees 2 crore category which has the highest initial bid.

The Indian Premier League player auction is scheduled to be held on December 19 in Dubai.

There are 1,166 players registered for this year's player auction, and a maximum of 77 players are to be bought from the teams.
