A new Motor Vehicle Act is about to be introduced

The gove ment says that the problem that has arisen in the issuance of driving licenses will be resolved by next October.
According to this, instead of temporary driving licenses, permanent driving licenses will be issued through the one-day service, said Mr. Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Minister of State for Transport.
The state minister also mentioned that all the district offices where driving licenses are issued will be brought to the state of Werahera head office before the end of this year.
The Minister of State for Transport Mr. Lasantha Alagiyawanna mentioned this while joining the news conference held at the Presidential Media Center today (17) under the theme 'One way to a stable country'.
