India's financial capital Mumbai has seen a decline in air quality this month, officials say.

Foreign media reports that continuous work on development projects like roads and metro has caused pollution in the city.

Sunil Kamble, head of the India Meteorological Department, said the withdrawal of monsoons from the city also contributed to worsening pollution levels.
