New officers are appointed to the Health and Education Committees

New members have been appointed to the Health Services Committee and the Education Services Committee with effect from today (02).
It is reported that the Public Service Commission has made these appointments for a period of two years.
Accordingly, Ms. T.M.L.C. Senaratne was appointed as the Chairman of the Health Services Committee and the other members are Dr. Hapugoda and Mr. Nimal Saranatissa.
The Health Service Committee carries out many tasks including appointing medical officers, dental officers and Ayurvedic medical officers to the primary grade, confirming the service, carrying out annual transfers and conducting disciplinary proceedings.
The Public Service Commission appointed Mr. J.A. Ranjith as the new chairman of the Education Service Committee.
The other members of the committee are Mrs. M.N.K. Weerasinghe and Mr. W. M. N. J. Pushpakumara have been appointed.
