Nihal Thalduwa is promoted to the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police

Police media spokesman, lawyer Mr. Nihal Thalduwa has been promoted to the position of Deputy Inspector General of Police.
Accordingly, DIG Advocate Mr. Nihal Thalduwa will continue to work as Police Media Spokesperson in addition to his duties in the Crime Division.
According to the letter issued by Acting Inspector General of Police Deshbandu Tennakoon, the duties of the new position will be implemented from 08.01.2024.
DIG Advocate Mr. Nihal Thalduwa previously served as Senior Superintendent of Police.
