The Court of Appeal dismissed a petition requesting that State Minister Mrs. Diana Gamage is not qualified to sit in the Parliament of Sri Lanka.

However, the Supreme Court has today (19) given permission to hear an appeal petition filed against that decision.

This order has been issued by a three-member Supreme Court bench led by Mr. Prithi Padman Surasena after considering an appeal petition submitted by a social activist Mr. Oshala Herath against the judgment of the Court of Appeal.
