More than 400 people leave after Rafah crossing opens to civilians

More than 400 people have left Gaza since the Rafah crossing to Egypt was opened to civilians for the first time in more than three weeks, according to foreign media.

According to the Palestinian authorities, 335 passport holders and 76 injured Gazans have been able to leave.

British and US passport holders are among those who have left the country

US President Joe Biden says the opening of the Rafah crossing is a result of diplomacy.
