According to the Administrative Affairs Authority, they were able to collect a fine of 24 crore rupees from the raids conducted from January to November 20 this year.

The authority stated that 3,151 rice raids and 510 sugar raids were carried out out of 22,000 raids.

The Consumer Affairs Authority has taken steps to intensify raids and investigations to cover all districts for the safety of the goods and food purchased by consumers during this festive season.
