The Israeli army has announced that it will attack targets in the Gaza Strip after claiming that Palestinian militants have entered their country.

Foreign media reports said that the country's army has said that these attacks will be carried out after rockets were launched from Gaza towards Israel.

The Israeli military issued siren wa ings in the southe and central parts of the country for more than an hour.

Also, one person was killed and 15 others were injured, and explosions were also reported in areas around Tel Aviv and the southe Gaza Strip.

It is said that the Palestinian Hamas militant organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Its armed wing claimed to have launched 5,000 rockets in 20 minutes.

The Israel Defense Forces said that massive rocket fire had been launched from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, and that militants had entered Israeli territory from various locations.

Also, the residents of the area around the Gaza Strip have been informed to stay safe.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office has announced that he will meet with security chiefs to discuss the rocket attacks and next steps.
