Scattered showers or thunderstorms after 2.00 pm

The Department of Meteorology announces that there will be several periods of rain in Easte and Uva provinces today (12).
Meanwhile, in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, the department mentioned that after 2.00 pm there will be scattered showers or thunderstorms.
In the easte slopes of the Central Hills and in the North, North-Central, South, North-West, Uva and Easte Provinces, the winds are blowing from time to time per 30-40 kmh.
The department further stated that foggy conditions are expected in some places in the Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts in the mo ing.
