The Ministry of Education has announced that the final phase of the third school term in gove ment schools and gove ment-approved private schools will begin on February 5.

Due to the decision of the Examination Department to re-conduct both parts 1 and 2 of the Higher-Level Agriculture Science question paper this year, the start date of the term has been changed.

The Department of Examinations took steps to cancel the second part of the Agriculture Science paper on the 12th after an incident was reported.

The announcement issued by the Commissioner General of Examinations, Mr. Amit Jayasundara, states that it has been decided to cancel the first part of the question paper held on the 8th.

Accordingly, the second part of this year's Advanced Agriculture Science question paper is scheduled to be held again on February 1st, Thursday mo ing from 08.30 to 11.40.

The announcement states that the first part will be held on Thursday, February 1st from 01.00 pm to 03.00 pm.
