Speaker certifies 4 drafts

Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena announced that the certificate was recorded for 04 bills passed by the Parliament.
Yesterday (23) the Speaker announced to the Parliament that he recorded his certificate for the drafts today (24).
The Speaker recorded his assent to the Powers of Atto ey (Amendment), Prevention of Fraud (Amendment), Conciliation Boards (Amendment) and Office of National Unity and Reconciliation Bills.
Accordingly, the said bills are the Office for National Unity and Reconciliation Act No. 01 of 2024, the Conciliation Board (Amendment) Act No. 02 of 2024, the Powers of Atto ey (Amendment) Act No. 03 of 2024 and the Fraud Prevention (Amendment) Act No. 04 of 2024.
The Act comes into effect from yesterday.
