Sri Lanka's dollar reserves up

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka states that by the end of last October, the country's gross dollar reserves have increased to 3.6 billion US dollars.

At the same time in 2022, the country's gross official reserves were 1.7 billion US dollars and the Central Bank of Sri Lanka indicates that it will show a big growth by October this year.

It is said that the foreign exchange exchange facility from the People's Bank of China is also included in the gross official reserve this year.

It includes a US$1.3 billion equivalent foreign exchange facility from the People's Bank of China.

The Central Bank further stated that its use is subject to certain conditions.
