The proposal to increase the fines of the Penal Code Amendment (19th Authority) has been approved by the Cabinet.

In comparison to the current financial value, permission was given in the cabinet meeting held in December last year to prepare a bill to amend the fines mentioned in the Penal Code.

Accordingly, it is stated that the proposal submitted by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reform Mr. Wijayadasa Rajapaksa to publish the bill in the Gove ment Gazette and then submit it to Parliament for approval was approved.
