Under 19 cricket team leaves for Asia Cup

The Sri Lankan under-19 cricket team has left the island for the Asian Cricket Championship in Dubai.
Accordingly, group of 27 players and officials left the island early today (06).
The under-19 Sri Lankan cricket team is led by Sineth Jayawardena of the Royal College of Colombo.
In a background where the Inte ational Cricket Council has imposed a ban on Sri Lanka, this is the first inte ational tou ament in which a Sri Lankan cricket team will participate.
The tou ament will start on 08th and the first match in which the Sri Lankan team will participate is scheduled to be held on 09th against the Japanese team.
