University non-academic unions are on strike today

The Joint Committee of the University Trade Unions says that they will engage in a symbolic strike today (18) protesting the salary increase for only one party.
They point out that due to this, inte al problems are emerging in the university system.
Accordingly, the joint secretary of the Inter-University General Conference Mr. K. L. D. G. Richmond said that the strike will be implemented with the participation of 23 trade unions.
Meanwhile, the symbolic strike started yesterday (17th) by the Gove ment Nurses Association to protest against the increase in allowance of doctors by 35,000 rupees is scheduled to end today at 7.00 am.
