Vijayakala Maheswaran released

The Colombo Magistrate's Court today ordered the release of former state minister Mrs. Vijayakala Maheswaran, on the advice of the Atto ey General.
This order was given when this complaint was summoned before Colombo Chief Magistrate Mr. Prasanna Alwis.
Former state minister Mrs. Vijayakala Maheswaran had earlier been granted bail in connection with an incident in which she allegedly made a statement that the LTTE should be re-established in 2018.
Earlier, the police had informed the court that the Atto ey General had advised that there were not enough facts to proceed with the case against this suspect.
