The Minister of Education Dr. Susil Premjayantha said today (27) that the project of awarding vouchers worth 3,000 rupees to buy shoes for 08 lakh school students will start on December 04.

The minister says that it is hoped that the distribution of shoe vouchers to school children will start on the 4th of December and end on the 27th.

The Minister stated in Parliament today (27) that vouchers will be given to 407,000 difficult, extremely difficult and isolated school children and that they hope to get more allocations and give these vouchers to more children next year.
