Minister Bandula Gunawardena says that the main reason for the accidents on the highways is the non-observance of the rules by the drivers.

He mentioned that a special program will be implemented from next week on the actions that can be taken against the drivers who break the rules on the highway.

Minister Bandula Gunawardena also mentions that a program has been started to install electric lamps on the highway section from Katunayake to Colombo.
