The budget of the Ministry of Culture is adopted

The budget heading of the Ministry of Buddha Sasana Religious and Cultural Affairs has been passed by a majority of 39 votes.
The Parliamentary Development Department states that 44 votes were cast in favor of it and 05 votes were cast against it.
The budget debate of the Buddha Sasana Ministry of Religious and Cultural Affairs was held yesterday (06).
There, Akila Ilankei Tamil Congress Party Member of Parliament Mr. G. G. Ponnambalam requested a poll regarding this budget item and accordingly, arrangements were made to hold the related poll.
During the debate, Minister Mahinda Amaraweera requested the Minister of Cultural Affairs Mr. Vidura Wickramanayake to take necessary measures regarding the prohibition of holding support classes on Sundays.
