This year a fine of Rs 26 crore collected

According to the Consumer Affairs Authority, more than 26 crore rupees have been collected as fines from the raids conducted this year.
The authority has stated that about 22,000 raids have been conducted in the market from January to now, and about 21,000 cases have been filed.
In that case, the courts have levied an amount of twenty six crore seventy six lakh thirty thousand four hundred forty eight rupees as fine.
It is stated that relevant cases have been filed for various offenses including selling goods at higher prices, hiding stocks, selling expired goods, not displaying prices.
Meanwhile, 1,185 raids have been conducted under the special program aimed at the festival season.
