72 health unions begin a 24-hour strike

72 trade unions, excluding the doctors of the health service, have planned to launch a symbolic strike today (16).

Accordingly, the health unions stated that this strike will be implemented for a period of 24 hours from 06.30 this mo ing.

The trade unions are launching this action demanding that the allowance of 35,000 rupees given to the doctors be given to them as well and the health unions have also decided to carry out only essential activities.

However, it is said that this mo ing, Health Minister Ramesh Pathirana has also invited the striking trade unions to a discussion.

However, the President of the Health Professionals Scholars Association Mr. Ravi Kumudesh said that if the health unions are put under unnecessary pressure, the strike will continue.
