A new notice from the government about the import of vehicles

Labor and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara said that licenses have been issued for foreign workers to import nearly 900 electric vehicles.
He said this while speaking in Parliament today.
The minister further mentioned that more than 100 million dollars have been sent to the country by foreign workers through this system.
However, the minister also mentioned that there has been some obstacle in the process of issuing letters of credit for the method of importing electric vehicles given to these foreign workers.
The Minister further stated that due to the actions of the officers of the Treasury, the extension of the issuance of letters of credit has been hindered.
