8 million imported eggs released to Sathosa

Another 8 million imported eggs have started to be released to Sathosa shops, says the State Commercial Miscellaneous Statutory Corporation.
Its chairman, Mr. Asiri Walisundara, said that the Animal Production and Health Department has received approval for the eggs.
Accordingly, the chairman said that the eggs will be available to customers from today (28) through Sathosa stores.
He further stated that due to the high demand during the festive season, many shops have run out of egg stocks and one million eggs are being imported to the island per day.
