The port union action is suspended

The All Ceylon Port Public Employees' Union has decided to temporarily suspend the trade union action to start working in the harbor today (28).
The All Ceylon Port Public Employees Union had decided to engage in symbolic trade union action today based on a demand for salary increase in 2024 and 2026.
However, the All Ceylon Port Public Employees Union states that due to an injunction issued by the Port Authority regarding the trade union action, it has decided to suspend its trade union action.
Its General Secretary Mr. Niroshan Gorakana said that after the 9th of January, they will engage in trade union action again.
