Education Minister Susil Premjayantha says that the syllabus should be taught and completed by December next year.

Attending a function held in Colombo, he stated that even though schools resumed on February 2nd after the school holidays this month, the school term related to the new year will start from February 19th.

Meanwhile, the minister said that the disparity in teacher salaries has been discussed and that from January, all gove ment employees will be entitled to Rs 10,000 stipend.
