Dr. Ruwan Wijayamuni, Chief Medical Officer of Colombo Municipal Council, says that a three-month dengue control program has been started in Colombo.

He requests the people to provide necessary support for this.

'From the entomological tests we carried out in Colombo, it became clear to us that the residents of Colombo city have kept their dengue control activities very well in their premises. But construction sites, schools, gove ment buildings, gove ment offices, private offices and religious places have more than 70% have been identified as dengue-infectious premises.'
