A rise in consumption of sugary drinks among school children

According to the Ministry of Health, the use of sweet drinks and sugary foods has increased among pre-school children in this country.
The ministry points out that this has been revealed in a survey conducted using pre-school children in Colombo and Kurunegala districts.
Community Health Specialist Dr. Inoka Wickramasinghe, Division Head of the Pre-School Health Promotion Program, expressed these views at a press conference held at the Health Promotion Bureau.
