Another 950 suspects will be brought to Yukthiya

950 suspects have been arrested in the raids carried out from yesterday (08) to the early hours of today (09) under the nationwide Yukthiya Police Operation.
According to the police, further investigations are being conducted based on detention orders regarding 42 suspects.
Investigation of illegal assets has been started on four suspects.
Also, 28 drug addicts have been referred to rehabilitation centers.
The Police Narcotics Bureau and the Special Task Force have arrested 68 suspects who were on the list of registered suspects in this operation.
The following quantities of drugs were seized during this special operation.

117kg 421g of cannabis
41,767 cannabis plants
Opium 48kg 140g

Meanwhile, the police special task force has arrested two suspects involved in large-scale ice drug trafficking.
The suspects were arrested yesterday (08) during a justice operation in Seram Road and Norris Canal area of Maradana Police Domain.
There, a 36-year-old resident of Maradana who was in possession of 60 grams and 580 milligrams of the drug ice and 95,840 rupees in cash and a 38-year-old resident of Colombo 12 with 40 grams and 350 milligrams of the drug ice and a motorcycle were arrested and handed over to the Maradana Police for further investigation.
