In the past 24 hours, 838 suspects have been arrested in the operations conducted throughout the island under the Yukthiya operation.

It includes 549 suspects related to drug offenses and 289 suspects who were on the list referred to criminal units.

Out of the 549 suspects arrested for drug offences, 05 suspects are being further investigated on detention orders, and 10 drug addicts have been referred for rehabilitation.

14 suspects who were on the list of Police Narcotics Bureau and Police Special Bureau have also been arrested.

Also, it is reported that among the 289 arrested suspects in the list referred to the criminal divisions, there are 35 suspects who had open warrants related to drug offenses and 246 open warrants related to non-drug offenses.

05 suspects who were identified through fingerprints and not arrested and 03 suspects wanted for crimes were also arrested in the operations.
